Gina Payne, LMFT
Gina was licensed over 20 years ago in family therapy. She began her career in 1991 at The Children’s Center in Hamden, CT, working with adolescents on a drug and alcohol inpatient unit, and counseling their families. During this time, Gina ran various groups focusing on addiction and life skills, provided counseling for the adolescents in treatment, and met with families while their children were in treatment on the unit and afterward during their transition back home.
From 1993-1995 she worked at Fairfield Community Services in Fairfield, CT. At Fairfield Community Services, Gina maintained a full caseload of families and individuals requiring clinical treatment of outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment. From there, Gina moved into private practice at Atlantic Health Services with Julian Hartt. Gina led groups and met with individuals, families, and adolescents on various life issues and addiction treatment.
At The Next Right Thing, Gina specializes in parent and family therapy. She co-facilitates the adolescent and family support groups and plays a key role in developing long and short-term treatment goals for families.
